Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company.
Albany International is a leading developer and manufacturer of engineered components, using advanced materials processing and automation capabilities, with two core businesses.
- Albany’s Machine Clothing (MC) business is the market-leading designer and producer of paper machine belts with an approximately 30% global market share. Paper machine clothing is a consumable, mission-critical component of any paper machine and has a significant impact on the quality of the paper and the efficiency of a paper machine, its production rates, and its overall cost of operation. Albany is the technology leader in the space, designing and producing solution-based, custom-designed belts critical for the efficient formation, dewatering and transport of the paper sheet through the harsh environment of a paper machine.
Additionally, the MC business designs and produces custom-designed belts, known as Engineered Fabrics, to provide tailored solutions that address the varied production challenges of process industries outside of papermaking such as nonwovens, corrugators, building products.
- Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs and manufactures a wide range of advanced composite components to help our customers succeed in both their current programs and as they push new design frontiers for the future. We offer a complete range of capabilities in research & technology, product development, and multi-material component integration and assembly with leading edge manufacturing processes and testing. AEC is a true collaboration partner with innovative solutions to reduce weight, improve aircraft performance and bring those innovations to market quickly and affordably. We utilize our proprietary 3D woven composite technology to produce fan blades and fan cases for the CFM International LEAP aircraft engine, the most popular commercial aircraft engine currently in production. And we continue to gain positions on all the most important platforms and programs.
Our core strengths are our genuine customer focused culture, industry leading quality and delivery, and our ability to produce highly tailored, complex composite components which meet performance and cost specifications that are often beyond the reach of metallic or conventional composites.
Albany International is headquartered in Rochester, New Hampshire, operates 23 facilities in 11 countries, employs approximately 4,000 people worldwide, and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (Symbol AIN).
